Study Screening

Title and abstract screening built around Include / Maybe / Exclude decisions, after you have already deduplicated multi-database downloads.

Use this after you have deduplicated the RIS file. Keyboard navigation and exports feed PRISMA identification counts.

Screening practices that survive audit

  • Dual independent screening with blinded reconciliation is still the default expectation in many health disciplines; disclose any single-reviewer shortcuts (for example in rapid reviews) in the protocol.
  • Align keyword cues with your eligibility logic—see Screening strategies for de-escalation designs and calibration exercises.
  • Keep citation hygiene tight before import: Citation management covers RIS versions, DOI collisions, and when to re-run deduplication.

AI-assisted suggestions (where enabled) should be treated as decision support: reviewers remain accountable for each Include/Exclude label recorded in the audit trail.
